New Students for Career track in Marine Biology
In March, 2009, the College (Facultad) of Biological Sciences
of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile received 28 new students for the career track in Marine Biology. This was the second generation of marine biology students, with high grade point averages and high PSU scores: The highest PSU scores in Marine Biology for the country!. During this academic year, the new students will have the opportunity to visit the facilities of the marine research laboratory at Las Cruces (Estación Costera de Investigaciones Marinas, ECIM) since from the first academic semester our marine biology students become familiarized with current research activities in marine science through theoretical and practical classes at ECIM.
